Mrs. Johnston, Teacher, Grades 3, 4 & 5

Mrs. Johnston, Teacher, Grades 3, 4 & 5
I have been a resident of Brinnon since 1973. I have a BA in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Science and Physical Education with a MA in Administration. Both of my degrees were earned from the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, WA.

This is my 8th year teaching at Brinnon School, with ten years of prior teaching experience along with seven years as an elementary principal.

Hobbies and activities include water sports, snow-skiing, collecting “strawberry” artifacts, raising Golden Retrievers, and exploring Native American heritage (Sioux). I also love mining and collecting rocks!

Mrs. Nancy Thompson, Superintendent Brinnon School District
I am the newly appointed superintendent for the Brinnon School District and I will be working part-time during the upcoming school year. I have been involved in thirty-three years of public school service as a teacher, school psychologist and administrator. My husband and I discovered the beauty of Brinnon in 1998 and six years ago made this our permanent home. Last year, I worked part-time in the Brinnon School District overseeing the special education program and student services, so some of you may already know me.
